My wish for 2003 would be peace first and then I would wish for some things for myself :-)
I have a few wishes and resolutions going on right now and I plan on working very hard to make sure they happen.
On a sad note, my year is not ending well. Our beloved cat Pooh died unexpectantly yesterday after becoming ill on Christmas Eve. He was a diabetic but had daily insulin shots. We took him to the vet Thursday and he said he had water in his lungs and gave us medication. By 7:00 am Friday he was having seizures and passed away as my sister pulled into the parking lot at the vets office. He would have been 6yrs this year. We will miss him greatly as he was quite a good companion and brought us great joy.

Dear Teresa,
My sympathies to you also. I have three kitties myself. Six years old is too young for a kitty to pass away (although I realize that a disease like diabetes would probably lessen the life expectancy). Please take care!

I'm so sorry, Teresa. I understand very well how much we love our pets and the unconditional love they give us every day of the year.
I wish for peace this year, and safe passage to the Rainbow Bridge for your beloved Pooh.
And when you find your grief lessening, please consider giving another cat or kitten your love in 2003. It would be the greatest parting gift you could give to Pooh.
Love, Robin

Thank you all for your kind words. We had Pooh cremated and will pick him up tomorrow. Some people think we are weird but my sister and I have a shelf downstairs dedicated to all our animals who have passed on. Their urns sit on the shelf with photos and small items that remind us of them. I think I will miss Pooh the most in the summer time. He would come out while I gardened and sit by my side. But I know he will be there next summer in spirit.
It is kind of funny but it seems all the neglected, stray animals seem to find their way to my home so I am sure God will send another when the time is right.
Happy New Year to all of you and if you are out driving be safe!

Oh my! How very sad for you and your family! Definitely my condolences to y'all!
I read somewhere that when the time is right, the spirit of your beloved furrkid who went to the bridge will steer another into your life....when the time is right. So when this happens, think of it as a gift from Pooh, to the family who loved her so much.
