Saw Blackwood yesterday and found it enjoyable. I think the Sentinel review covered everything and I can't add much more.

The show opened with the video promo above and took place first in script rehearsal then in a primitive live episode with each character doing a short monologue about themselves between scenes. For me, my biggest concern was how the parody would be played out. I've been a Dark Shadows club president since 1992 and there is a lot of love there but I also find humor in the show (especially all the time I spend in the games section.) So for me, as long as the play wasn't a snarky or mean spirited parody or portrayed fans of the show in a bad light, which it didn't , I was fine with it. Besides being a DS  takeoff, the play gave a fond look back at the sixties with a few running gags about Reagan and the name Blackwood. After the show, we got to do a meet and greet with Steve and the actors who were all very nice and appreciative of our attending and support. A nice afternoon.

Maybe the comics would have sold better if she looked like the other Samantha Fox.

I looked at the list and pretty much went along with it except for maybe a couple. I remember watching Gibbsville and liking it quite a bit.. I didn't watch it at the time but picked up the dvd set for The Bearcats last year and thought it was pretty good and fun to watch also. For shows omitted on the worst list, I would have suggested The Jimmy Stewart Show, Grandpa Goes to Washington, The Captain and Tennille and Saturday Night Live With Howard Cosell.

No MB, it's not Sea view Terrace. In looking up Thornfield Hall, the house is in Thompson Ct. What got the story going was a mention in the Thompson Historical Society newsletter  back in 2003 that the house was used in Dark Shadows. A follow up article in the 2012 newsletter because of the Depp movie mentions it again but says research was done and it was unlikely that it was the correct house. (No kidding.) You can look up Thompson Historical Society and find the link to the Dark Shadows mention and the source for the urban legend. But a nice story about the woman nonetheless.

I saw the promo a couple days ago...haven't seen The Invaders in years and looking forward to it. Love ME TV.
