[It's up to the first poster to come up with a set up, and then each following post will either complete it or fill in the blank(s). And, as always, whoever posts the set up is certainly allowed to post their own completion/fill in as a follow up.]
-
Setup:
Thinking: Hmm. There are still people alive in this time band. My work here is not yet done. I must ____ before I can go.
-
(Good one Callie!)
trigger the Alpha Omega device
"help" a few more people
make more people my slaves so that they can help me help the Collins family
-
Pull William Loomis' finger.
-
(Good one Callie!)
trigger the Alpha Omega device
[laughing4] (Thanks, MT! I was thinking of Galaxy Quest for that first one, but that was the Omega 13 device. Still cracked me up!)
-
Love the set up! [thumbleft] And I don't know what you were expecting, but to me the definitive fill in would seem to be:
...I must make sure everyone is dead before I can go.
(And that pretty sums up what actually happens. Forget natural disasters wiping out a whole community - Barnabas is his own natural disaster! [sad3])
-
(Thanks! And yeah, that was the direction my mind took it, and I liked MT's version of that - "help" people! Help them till they die, pretty much.)
-
(Makes one wonder why anyone in their right mind would accept Barnabas' brand of help. But then, come to think of it, there aren't many people in Collinsport (regardless of the time period or band) who could be described as being completely in their right mind, now are there? [wink2])
-
(Sad, but true!)
-
Double up on my efforts to poke my nose into everyone's business
-
[pointing-up] Perfect!! [rofl10] [thumb]
-
And he won't give up until he does!
-
([pointing-up] Barn never gives up when it comes to not minding his own business! I truly believe that poking his nose in where it doesn't necessarily belong is the only thing he lives for!!)
-
I agree! He may talk a lot (excessively at times) about Josette (or Vicki, Roxanne etc) but I think that Barnabas lacks the emotional maturity to maintain a lasting, healthy relationship. Though he seems to maintain dysfunctional ones rather well.
-
([pointing-up] Indeed!! [ghost_rolleyes])
-
A pity that none of the characters ever realize that. [ghost_sad]
-
(He keeps jumping into realities where he has no track record to get him into trouble.)
-
Right Magnus... Like his nickname was "Clean-Slate Barny" back in vampire school I bet. [ghost_cheesy]
-
(But as people start dropping off like flies, one would think the others or at least one person might link things back to Barnabas' actions. But no! [ghost_nowink])
-
Not a single one! And that's about all that's left too!
-
([pointing-up] Sad, but too true!! And it's terrible to say, but if someone were to unleash Barnabas on China - he'd have their overpopulation problem solved in less than a year!!)
-
Faster than Captain Trips! [ghost_wink]
-
([pointing-up] True! [deadb] [deadg] [deady])
-
(Anyone who comes around to blaming him is doomed... if he can leave a reality thought of as the hero, that's a win!)
soliloquize with extreme prejudice
bite bite bite the whole day down
make a new vampire out of a few people on my way to the Room, like Hamilton or maybe the PT filigree Pen
-
[laughing4] [cheers]
make a new vampire out of ... maybe the PT filigree Pen
Now, I would have loved to have seen how he'd accomplish THAT!! [nodassent] [rofl10]
-
soliloquize with extreme prejudice
That was the Magnus response I've been waiting for!!! Good one. [snow_laugh] [snow_laugh]
