Birthdays/Calendar
« on: December 25, 2005, 09:54:17 PM »
I hope everyone is having a very Merry Christmas.

I was just perusing the calendar; the word birthday is in purple.

Has it always been???

(Except, it's not in the above shade...what real color name is it?)

Thanks,

Patti

The birthday color on the Calendar and on the BoardIndex has been various colors in various different color schemes that we've used, but it's been that color for more than a year and a half.  [santa_smiley]

It doesn't have a name. Only about 140 colors out of the 16,777,216 currently possible colors have actual names - and that's one of the 16,777,076 that doesn't.  [santa_wink]

The RGB color code (and I'm sure we all remember those from the "Color Names and Custom Colors" topic on this board [b003]) for the birthday color is #920ac4 (whereas the code for purple is #800080 and the color for violet is #ee82ee). The birthday color is actually closer to a blueviolet because the blue value in its RGB code (c4) is stronger than it red value (92). However, the code for the real blueviolet is #8a2be2 (probably too much info, huh?  [santa_grin]).
