Yesterday, I received a mailing from MPI with an offer to join the club and receive a Barnabas Bobblehead.  I hope they will start sending me catalogs, too.  I just signed up for the newsletter.

Happy Birthday, Robin.   [92c5]  Big hugs to a winterbaby.  Squeeze in a dinner out between christmas shopping and the next snow storm!

i called mpi friday and requested a new catalog. the somewhat unfriendly woman on the phone told me there wouldn't be a new catalog released until at least january, and that the most current catalog was from 2001 .

I also find calling MPI will get you a somewhat unfriendly person to do business with.  They are not out an out rude just somewhat unfriendly.

I doubt that Abigail would have allowed such a pagan symbol in the house.  The roots of MA and its province would have been puritans.  The parents mentioned by Abigail to her brother Joshua hardly seemed the liberal tolerant types.  Quakers in early colonial times were whipped at the post and sent away in exile.  Many who practiced different customs and religions were persecuted.  Christmas was banned.  However, Collinsport of 1795 some may have celebrated with or without a christmas tree but I don't see the Collins family except for Naomi being among them.
I have many books on colonial life that I have purchased through some of MA museums.  I was going to put some quotes in but because my children are both in the room celebrating Christmas at high volume I cannot make an intelligent point, at the moment.

Great Mark!  My two favorite actors.  I can just hear Dr. Smith's alliteration. :-*

MB,
MPI has only sent me a catalog when I call and request one.  The last one I received was the 2000 catalog.  I guess I should call them and request a newer addition.  The catalog before that was the 30th anniversary catalog.  I don't understand why I do not receive any mailings since I have ordered many tapes from them. :-   I depend on this site to keep me up to date on what is currently available.

Hey, I can't imagine why I got this flyer in the mail.  Have never purchased anything from MPI.  Must be that Fest.  Did anyone else who went to the Fest get the flyer??
I have ordered many things from MPI and have never received any mailings ever.  Maybe they don't like me or my money.

Connie,  I agree that Bramwell's hair looks so much nicer.  You could run your fingers through it without having to wash your hands afterwards.  However, Barnabas didn't seem like a man who would let you run your fingers through his hair.
I am glad you mention about the music Melanie was playing.  It crossed my mind as I listened to it.  I think it sounded more appropriate for the time than say 'Joanna's theme' which sounded more like late 60's lounge music.

I'm curious as to why everything was so tidy after the passionate deed.  Would the sensors(sp) have balked if the bed was open?  They were both completely dressed.  All Bramwell did was straighten his tie.  I know buttoning his fly would have been too much but what about slipping on his boots.

Current Talk '03 II / Re:Was Joanna Mills a Witch?
« on: December 12, 2003, 06:06:19 PM »
After reading everyone's comments it seems the witches in DS have been inept.  We have seen Angelique in all her forms screw-up.  The same could be said of Mr. Blair and Judah.  Bathia Mapes was a witch only because she said so.  She ended up toast. :P
Now, take a look at the ghosts of DS.  Quentin was able to kill several people and take over the house.  Gerard's ghost destroyed the whole house.  Little Sarah saved several people from an evil vampire.  Jeremiah's ghost even terrorized Angelique.  Joanna seems just as strong as the other ghosts. >:D

  • "I've seen Mr. Cross in a vampire movie, and I wasn't pleased...  he didn't look all that great with fangs." [Huh? Who knew fangs were supposed to be a flattering look?]
Maybe this person preferred the Nosferatu gopher fang look.

When I watched the 91 series, I had no idea that there was such a negative reaction to it.  I was upset that the show was not given a chance to hit its stride.  Thanks for posting the comments.

I think people of RT spend to much time staring at the PT time people.  It seems alot like staring in a window like a peeping Tom.  Its just so wrong.  However, I think it was even worse in 1970PT because that was Angelique's bedroom.  Voyeurism, pure and simple. :o

I'm sort of half surprised he wasn't around to meet the ghost of Joanna Mills and fall hopelessly in love with her.

Too bad he had been cured of vampirism,  Joanna and Barnabas would have had a lot in common.  They were both dead.  Angelique would not have been able to kill her in a jealous pique.

Sheenasma, your kitty is a real beauty.  My kitties are usually well behaved at the vet, too.  The real test will be if you ever have to give her a pill or a bath.  Keep us posted.

Mark,  I already have an eighteen pound cat that presses my laundry.   She also does a good impression of a holstein.  She is not the kitty in my avatar( that one only weighs five pounds).  I also have a Maine Coon that growls at the door like a dog if someone is on the porch(with a cat like that who needs a dog).
