I always envision a romantic evening for Barnabas and Julia: The couple at an out-of-town Hilton Hotel Suite, drinking champagne, eating a roast beef dinner, dancing to some Tony Bennett on the stereo, and making love on the soft king-size bed that has silky, satiny sheets. The next morning, Barnabas and Julia would wake up smiling at each other. [firedevil]

I envision the same thing except Julia wakes up the next morning thinking she is next to Barnabas but she feels a beard tickling her ear and the voice of Nickolas Blair says "Have some Madeira, my dear."

Can anyone tell me how to find the poem with the line "Have some Madeira, my dear".  I saw Tony Randall recite it once and it was such a joy.  It seems to fit Nickolas Blair's style.

I also heard about the local fishermen not knowing how to swim.  However, the ocean waters in Maine never warm up so the cold would get to you long before you could be rescued.
I know Roger is supposed to be suave and well-dressed but he works for a sardine cannery.  No aftershave can hold out under such circumstances.  I can understand why La Liz never goes in to the office.  I visited a tuna cannery when I was in grammar school.  Everything from the parking lot to the air-conditioned offices reeked.  My clothes, my hair, and my skin smelled like tuna.  The cannery gave each child a can of tuna but it was months before I would want a tuna sandwich.

That is beautiful, Firerose.  I hope you get a good grade.

Caption This! - The Werewolf-Quentin's Ghost / Re: Episode #0659

That was just too funny, tripwire.  My nine year old asked me what you meant and I said "the werewolf pooped on the porch".  We were both in hysterics for 10 minutes. [laughing4] [laughing6]

They did have a wishing well.  Julia used to wash her face in it.  Maybe, she thought it was the fountain of youth. ::)

Castlebee,
Can you just see "Jebba" the Hut and our poor Carolyn creating a race of beings?  After reading your post, I imagined Carolyn in the place of Princess Leya(sp) [shockeyes] [tongue9]

I understand your rant.  I live in Maine and I have come into shops with no one around.  The business is usually attached to their place of residence.  Sometimes, the owners act like you are a big inconvenience instead of a paying customer.   You would think in this day and age they would be more careful.

Science depicted on DS looked very lame.  I just got through watching Julia try to cure Barnabas by strapping him to a wooden chair and dropping dry ice in a copper kettle.  I know they had a limited budget but I wish they were a little more creative.  I think adding too many monsters to DS and you run the risk of the show looking like Lost in Space.  No offense to Lost in Space fans.  I was in love with Billy Mumy back then.  I watch the show cheesy monsters and all.

Julia, thats the worst drivers license picture I have ever seen.  You look like Boris Karloff in drag.

Oh no, they really do roll up the sidewalks by 9:00.
