1795 is my favorite storyline.  It has holes and missed opportunites like any other DS storyline.  I thought Louis Edmonds portrayal of Joshua was spot on.  He seemed to have chemistry with the entire cast.  As for the end of 1795, I did not think it was any worse than some of the other storyline endings.  Thats why we get to converse so much about the "what coulda, shoulda beens".

I never heard the two melodies side by side.  I like the first version better.  It sounds like a real music box melody.  Of course, the melody gets over-played during Maggie's kidnapping.  Which melody is on the music box that was sold by MPI?

Fabulous photos!  Heavens, what did they do to Graysons hair?!  That "Telephone" shot is a riot of hair and expression.

Lady Kitty was starting out to be an intriguing character.  She had both Barnabas and Edward interested in her but that went nowhere.  She knew Petofi from before but that was barely explored.  She could have hung them all out to dry.  Such a waste.

What an elegant old house.  I am surprised to see there is only one chimney.  Houses like that around my area tend to be turned into multi-families and office space.

I saw the commercial yesterday.  I would not have noticed her or the product if I had not been alerted to look.  I can't remember what they were selling now. [sleepy3]

I didn't realize how detailed the faces were.  The Dr. Phibes looks just like Vincent Price.  I was not impressed with the Quentin doll.  He looked more like a cross between Anthony George and Quentin.  The clothes on the DS figures, especially Barnabas' vest, looked odd.

Barnabas hooks up with a gold digger who spends all his money.  Destitute, he marries Julia for her money.  She makes him sign a pre-nuptual agreement.

I am so happy to read these episode.  I never got the "warm, fuzzy Liz is Vicki's mother" feeling from these early episodes so I never could accept this conclusion later on.  She nearly fires Vicki several times during these early episodes and many times treats her with icy indifference all the while indulging Carolyn and David no matter how spoiled and ungrateful they behaved.

I can't believe after "Night of the Iguana" she wasn't offered better roles.

Any episode crying for a retake or some editing.  I remember reading about Mr. Frid being allowed to edit a performance that he ruined.  I wish they had just reshot the episode but at least they let him fix what he could.
One episode with Sarah and Dr. Woodard was so flub filled it was painful to watch.  Editing would not have fixed that but reshooting with a new actress might have helped.

I know what you mean, EmeraldRose.  There was so much left unexplored.  All soaps then and today had multiple stories going on at the same time.  I felt they kept ripping off old classics without being creative enough to give Quentin something to do in present time.  How about a romance for Liz without supernatural elements?  Julia could have had a fling with someone.  Prof Stokes could have brought in colleagues from the college to take part in Collinwood intrigues but NOOOOO that would have required spending money and hiring more actors.
I don't have a problem with green posts unless they are on the light background.  I can never read red or royal blue post.
