I got home this morning from an early workout at the gym (I was there at 5:00 a.m., heaven help me) and turned on the TV and what was on TV-Land but not only The Waltons, but the episode with David Selby guest-starring. He plays Joshua Williams, a college art professor who falls for Mama Olivia Walton when she takes one of his adult courses. Since it was shot just a coupla years after DS went off the air, he still looked like Quentin Collins (with shorter hair). Indeed, whenever I see that episode, I always imagine that he really is Quentin - Joshua Williams is just one of the many personas he had to take during all those decades cavorting around the country and the world, hopelessly seeking his Amanada until his last persona of Grant Douglas. Too bad Olivia Walton didn't go for his wiles; she woulda been a much better choice than Olivia Corey, but then I think Quentin would've eventually becomed bored living on that mountain surrounded by a gazillion kids.
