Good news for fans of The Originals:

'The Originals,' 'New Girl' and 5 more shows doing better ratings than you think

A better 18-49 demo rating than Arrow has - whoa, that's saying something! And actually, that article doesn't even paint the whole viewership picture because it doesn't factor in online viewing - and online is how many people have to watch shows on The CW because the network doesn't even have affiliate stations in all parts of the country.

And if the bump in ratings/viewership wasn't enough good news, there's also this:

'The Originals,' 'Reign,' 'The Tomorrow People' get full season orders from The CW

Though it was pretty much a given that The Originals would be picked up for a full season.

Don't know that I agree with all their reasons. But then, I like both shows. However, what's most interesting is some of the things this article complains about when it comes to this season of TVD are the very same things that others are pointing to as evidence that this is the best season of TVD. Though what would the world be without differences of opinion?  [hall2_smiley]

Actually, I don't think I agree with most of what she said.  I was getting a bit fed up with TVD last season, so I suppose Originals is better than that.  But I'm enjoying it a lot more this season.  Originals is also intriguing, but I think I still prefer the "parent."

I like this "5 reasons" better than the first one.  I think I still prefer TVD, but it's really hard to say.
