The DS Movie Party at the Vista Theatre in Los Angeles the evening of Thursday, May 10th has sold out. Tickets are no longer available.

However, for those who had hoped to attend but did not reserve tickets in time, the Vista has added an extra midnight showing of the movie. This screening will begin at midnight, as Thursday, May 10 turns into Friday, May 11.

(Friday, May 11 is the official opening day for the movie.)

The cost for this advance midnight screening at the Vista Theare is $9.50.

Due to space limitations, the midnight screening does not include the specific DS Movie Party events such as the screening of "House of Dark Shadows" or the autograph session. These activities take place between 6:00 and midnight on Thursday, May 10.

Tickets for the midnight show will be for sale only at the Vista Theatre box-office:

Vista Theatre, 4473 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90027.

The DS Movie Party itself on Thursday lets fans view the new Johnny Depp film at 9:45pm (Pacific Time), before it opens nationwide. At 6:00 that evening, the DS Movie Party begins with a screening of the 1970 motion picture "House of Dark Shadows" starring Jonathan Frid - the first major movie ever based on a daytime soap opera.

The Party will welcome original DS actor guests: Nancy Barrett, Jerry Lacy, Lara Parker, Kathryn Leigh Scott, Christopher Pennock, Lisa Richards, James Storm, and Roger Davis will be in attendance. They will sign autographs at no additional cost. New DS memorabilia will also be available for purchase and a charity auction will be held.

--- SG Premiere Announcement:

With the sad and unexpected passing of Jonathan Frid at age 87 in the early hours of April 14, the upcoming DS Weekend will include a special Tribute to DS' "Barnabas Collins" / "Bramwell Colins" as part of the Saturday (July 28) programming events.

Activities will be held at the historic Lyndhurst Estate in Tarrytown, NY (at the Tappan Zee Bridge across the Hudson River, about 24 miles north of Manhattan on main highways / train lines).
The mansion interiors, exteriors, and grounds were the filming locations for the 2 original movies, "House of Dark Shadows" (1970) - starring Jonathan - and "Night of Dark Shadows" (1971).
Recent SG Online Updates have announced and reported the event and noted local hotels, transportation, and attractions. Fans from across the country will be joining together with our guests to remember Jonathan and celebrate the first 2 DS films.

SG will announce full details for the "DS Day" in the coming week or so.

Additionally, a special DS Luncheon With the DS Stars will be held at the Tarrytown DoubleTree Hotel, next door to Lyndhurst, on Sunday, July 29. Autographs from our DS guests will be available at no extra cost. There also will be DS merchandise for sale. A charity auction will benefit the National Trust for Historic Preservation, caretaker of the Lyndhurst Estate.

--- DARK SHADOWS MOVIE PROMOTIONAL APPEARANCES

DS movie star Johnny Depp ("Barnabas") and possibly other cast members may be seen on Ellen Degeneres' popular syndicated program (the first movie trailer - teaser ad -premiered on Ellen's Show on March 15.).

In addition, original DS stars Lara Parker and Kathryn Leigh Scott are to guest on Fox TV's "Good Day LA" next week.

--- SG Final Announcement:

Fans will be interested to hear that DS movie executive producer Graham King reported at the BritWeek Film & TV Summit in Los Angeles on April 27 that there already is talk of a potential DS sequel film.

The update doesn't name the DS guests for Tarrytown, but Jerry Lacy has confirmed, Marie Wallace plans to attend, and Kathy Cody has approached Jim Pierson about being there (at her own expense).  And of course LP and KLS.

Nancy Barrett, Jerry Lacy, Lara Parker, Kathryn Leigh Scott, Christopher Pennock, Lisa Richards, James Storm, and Roger Davis will be in attendance.

Video by joe integlia of last night's event taken before (with KLS and LP) and after (with all actors listed above, after they waited patiently in the limo til the movie was over) the HoDS screening: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSztiYJNVIs&feature=youtu.be
Sy Thomashoff (not in the video, I think) also sat with the actors.

(Did KLS and LP really change into the dresses they wore to the premiere Monday night?!)
