Moderator note: this is in regard to:

They are pretty close in height aren't they? Selby is 6'4" and I think Frid is about 6'2", correct me if I'm wrong.

I thought Selby towered over everyone.

No, Robert Rodan is the tallest DS actor, he is 6'5". But he was never in a scene with Selby.

So why did Barnabas think
Willie (JK is about 5'7" or 5'8") could handle Adam??
JK is about 5'7" or 5'8

Karlen was almost 5' 9".  He may be shorter now since people do lose height as they get older.

Hey I have always been 4' 11 3/4" I just thought older people just spread out. It gets harder and harder to lose weight.  >:D

The spine sometimes starts to shorten when you get elderly, probably very elderly.    I saw an actor who was unusually tall in the 1970s, Harold Gould (Rhoda's father), in something recently.  He was short!   Sorry this isn't a caption.

Looks like this topic's been moved out of the captions area into the current talk section. I think you're right about the spine. Also many elderly (women in particular I think) develop osteoporosis which may affect their height.

Back to the original subject....If Selby is 6'4" and Frid is 6'0" and they look the same height in the picture, was Frid standing on a phone book?

I have several screen captures where Selby is taller than Frid.  I'm guessing 2-4 inches at least.

How tall are doorways?  I saw an episode where Selby smacked his head on the doorway leading to the servants' quarters.  OUCH!!

As far as JK, there's a scene where he smacks his head on the doorway of the secret room!!  Another ouch!!

I think in the screengrab this began with Selby may have been a bit hunched over. Hard to tell since we only saw a portion of his face. Boy did he look good.

I looked at the screen grab and it almost looked like a very good splice.  :D I doubt it though.  I think it's more like you said, Selby was bent over a little.

Or... he reverted to his much shorter werewolf self, and then changed back, in every sense but height.

That IS the funniest thing: tall 6ft +, blue-eye man turns into 5ft8in [or so], brown-eye werewolf!  At least when Chris Jennings changed, both had brown sad eyes.

I had to laugh when
Quentin as the werewolf jumped from the landing to the foyer and Beth held out the new pentegram she had just gotten. She was taller than he and it was so obvious. In another scene we see Quentin morph into the werewolf and it was so clear that he lost several inches of height. I wonder if that was part of the curse lol.
I'm sure they just didn't want to get rid of that shorter stuntman when Q came along, and the specific reason may just be that cool move of jumping over the railing.

Alex Stevens was brilliant in the role. You can't find people every day who can jump from the landing to the foyer without benefit of the stairs.
