Re: ShadowGram Update #146
**** KATHRYN LEIGH SCOTT APPEARS ON "HUFF" THIS SPRING
Kathryn (Maggie, Josette, Kitty, Rachel) asks SG to share her news that she guests on the season finale of the Showtime series "Huff." The episode should air later this spring. Her character "Swanson" is "a senior partner in Oliver Platt's law firm."
KLS' ep of HUFF, called "Which Lip Is the Cervical Lip" (the 2nd season finale AND series finale, as it was canceled last week), premiered this past weekend and will repeat on SHOWTIME as follows:
06/27 11:05 pm ET/PT (Pacific, not Parallel) -- Showtime
06/28 10:00 pm ET/PT -- Showtime
06/29 11:00 pm ET/PT -- "
06/30 10:00 pm ET/PT -- "
06/30 12:00 am ET/PT -- "
Check your local listings for the times in your area.
A fan's description of her appearance is posted here: http://p075.ezboard.com/fmonsterkidclassichorrorforumfrm14.showMessage?topicID=351.topic Hmmm, KLS in an X-rated shouting match? Intriguing. ^-^
Thanks, Kosmo!

For a moment there I thought I was watching Katie and Oliver Platt in a revival of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?- F-bombs galore!! The 'boob job' line was hilarious- does Oliver know he was talking to a former Bunny? BTW, KLS looked great, as always.

On the finale of the Showtime series Huff, Kathryn says F....you!!!
FIVE TIMES!
Gasp!
(it was a great scene)

Methinks IF Dark Shadows had been on cable-tv, then Maggie Evans might have also issued that same "expletive" to Barnabas Collins (for kidnapping her, and also planning to use her as Eve's second "life force"), Adam (for hitting her beloved pop, Sam), Willie Loomis (for imprisoning her in that dank Collins Family Mausoleum, albeit, with the best of intentions!), Jeb Hawks (for trying to "slime" her and Willie), Roxanne (for putting the "bite" on her) and, finally, Sebastian Shaw (for having a far groovier hair style than her own lustrous brunette coif!!!).

Early Maggie for sure was an F-word type girl. If it HAD been on cable and cable then (had cable existed then I mean) was like it is now (i.e. HBO and The Soprano's) she would have called Vickie a stupid C (instead of a jerk) for working at Collinwood, LOL! >:D And you know, she looks pretty darn close to uttering expletives in the above-mentioned scene where
Nicholas is trying to 'convince' Barnabas and Julia to use her as the life-force for Eve
LOL about Sebastian having better hair, he definately had better threads! [pimp] (although I've never seen this plotline yet, I've seen certain eps from it at past Festivals. Sigh...I miss the viewing eps room at the Fests. Are there any other 'long-time' Fest goers that feel this way too? :'(

OMG, and we thought Angelique could curse!!
Would any of our Showtime-less cousins be interested in watching KLS' scene on the Forums? Cuz if so, it would be no problem adding it to the video board. But please let me add, and not for the last time, that it's not for anyone who is offended by profanity.
-
Midnight - PLEASE add it to the video board... I'd love to see it! Thanks so much!
-
Done, JosettesMusicBox! :D
The clip is available in the Member's Mausoleum. Just look for your Member Status (i.e. Guest or Newbie, Full Poster, Junior Poster, etc.) in the board listing. You will only be able to see the board(s) available to your Member Status.
While it connects, please take the time to check out the graphic language warning in yellow.
BTW, comments left on the board you are viewing may not be visible to other visitors, but please feel free to leave them in this topic.
Thanks!

Okay, I'm a retard! How do you get it to play? I click on the Real Player thing but nothing happens. :'(
-
Never mind, I figured it out. Don't know what I did but...;) TOO funny btw...interesting to hear those expletives coming out of 'good girl' KLS's mouth. >:D
-
Too funny! Who knew KLS could be a 'bad girl'! ;)
-
Thanks for posting the clip, Midnight (and any and all other moderators involved in getting it and putting it up).
Thanks to the info here, I was able to catch it on a bounce one night last week. Good point about the warning, just about ALL her dialog is, uh, an instant R in a movie, to put it delicately. From a chat I go to regularly, I know a young man who is a HUGE fan of hers. I only hope her dialog doesn't shock him too badly.

I always enjoyed the scene during the Parallel Time 1970 storyline, in which the extremely "oily" John Yeager says to one of the other Dark Shadows characters: "I don't give a hoot what so-and-so thinks," or some such verbiage.
Imagine which "highly-descriptive" words the evil Mr. Yeager could have used in that scene IF Dark Shadows had been aired on HBO instead of ABC back there in 1970? (Oh, boy, oh, boy!!!) >:D ::) :o

Of course that would've meant a topless Angelique, and a lot of bed-hopping for Carolyn...

Oh, she bed-hopped a lot, we just didn't see it! You don't really think she and Buzz were playing Go Fish do you? >:D

Oh, yes, the "varied" possibilities are seemingly endless: Carolyn and Phillip Todd, Mrs. Johnson and Ezra Braithwaite, Donna Friedlander and the Eagle Hill Cemetery caretker, Prof. Stokes and Madame Findley, Buzz Hackett and Leona Eltridge, Jeff Clark and Portia Fitzsimmons, Sam Evans and Eve, Judge Crathorne and Megan Todd, etc., etc. :-*

You forgot Willie and Barnabas ala 'Queer As Folk'. Hey, the ABC censors thought it was implied.... >:D

Didn't John Karlen once say that that was why Mr. B. bit poor Willie on the wrist instead of the throat in April (?) of 1967.
Evidently, by 1969, ABC's "sensitivities" had mellowed considerably, since we got to see plenty of "same-sex" neck/throat biting from Barnabas, Dirk Wilkins and Roxanne Drew by then.

Not to mentin
when he bites Will in 1970 PT
-
There were same sex neck bites in later storylines, BUT the actual act was never depicted as it was with male on female or female on male. With the same sex attacks, all it was was a shot of the vampire baring fangs and then the victim's terrified expression. Heaven forbid the audience should have seen a fanged mouth going in for the actual bite. But sometimes a bite is just a bite, an act of violence, not a sex act. Though apparently DC and ABC didn't see it that way. ::)

Very true, when
Roxanne was chomping on Maggie in 1970 I believe it was all off-camera (haven't actually SEEN this plotline, yet!) and Will is also bitten off-camera in 1970 PT.
